NEW FEATURE - Automatically tag peaks in your photos

If you know where the picture was taken from and can identify 2 peaks in the photo, the program automatically tags the rest. This feature is only available in the free beta test version of RoseLine. Find out more about the test version and download it now.

NEW FEATURE - Determine the location where a mountain photo was taken.
Have you ever looked at a photo like the one above and wondered where it was taken from? If you're comfortable with and have a way to display GPX data files and you can identify 4 peaks in the picture then RoseLine can help you determine where the photo was taken. The program generates "lines of potential viewpoints" and where the lines cross is the approximate location ! This one is easy because the peaks are already tagged. The picture below shows the results after identifying Caroline Peak, Mt Roosevelt, Bryant Peak and The Tooth. The actual viewpoint is marked by a yellow diamond about a half mile north of the crossing point. This feature is only available in the free beta test version of RoseLine. Find out more about the test version and download it now.

The RoseLine program is currently available for Washington and Oregon. There is a free version and a full featured version of both. Find out more about RoseLine Washington or RoseLine Oregon. To find out about the free test version click Test Version.

Here is a sample map. You can easily create similar maps, larger or smaller, sized, zoomed and cropped as you like. Here, RoseLine draws rays to the 40 most prominent peaks seen from Mount Si as well as providing a list of peaks and their information.
